How the unit works

Your clinic runs the unit. The Laboratorio del Dolor governs it methodologically. UNIDOL brings brand and patients.

A UNIDOL unit runs on a clear division of responsibilities between three actors.

Your clinic provides

Licensed infrastructure, clinical team, daily operations and regulatory compliance. It runs the unit and treats patients.

The Laboratorio del Dolor provides

The method and its protocols, the products (Smärtgel, Cero Dolor App, Kit PRO), team training and certification, clinical supervision and complex-case resolution.

UNIDOL provides

The brand, positioning and patient acquisition through the national and international platform.

The royalties your clinic pays don’t buy the right to “use a method.” They pay for the continuous methodological management that maintains quality, updates the protocols and backs every case.

You choose how much you grow

Three levels, reversible

Level 1

Directory listing

Your unit appears on the UNIDOL platform and receives the patients the system routes to your territory by your specialty.

Level 2

Joint acquisition

In addition to the directory, you add coordinated patient-acquisition campaigns for your unit.

Level 3

International operator

Your unit is enabled to receive international patients from UNIDOL Global, with the additional training that requires.

Levels are opt-in and reversible: start where you want and move up when your operation is ready.

Marketing fund

The marketing fund finances the UNIDOL unit operating in your clinic. Not your own brand.

A portion of your gross income from Full packages goes to a marketing fund that exclusively finances patient acquisition for the UNIDOL unit within your institution. That protects your investment and your margin: every peso of the fund works to fill that unit’s schedule.

Decided jointly.
The use of the fund is defined by a joint committee between your clinic and the Laboratorio del Dolor. You take part in how it is invested.
Your general brand, you fund.
The UNIDOL brand at the national level is sustained by UNIDOL with its own resources. Your unit’s fund is only for your unit.
International operation.
If you activate it, an additional allocation to the fund finances international patient acquisition and the training that operation requires.

Exclusivity & market

Specialty exclusivity in your territory. And a market no one serves in a specialized way.

When you integrate a UNIDOL unit, you protect your specialty in your territory: no other clinic in the network will operate the same specialty in your area while your unit is active. Exclusivity is bidirectional and defined by clinical specialty.

≈15 M adults with chronic pain in Colombia (ACED, 2022).
31% chronic-pain prevalence in adults in the studied population (DOLCA study, Caldas).
USD 6.3 B and up to 2.8 M health-tourism patients projected by 2032 (Colombia Productiva / MinCIT).
No one serves this market today with an integral, specialized and standardized method.

The space is open. The question is who occupies it first in your city.

A founder’s opportunity

Be the founding operator of the method in your region.

The network is just starting to form. The first clinics to integrate a UNIDOL unit not only secure their specialty’s exclusivity in their territory: they define the standard and enter while the category is still being built. The Laboratorio del Dolor already operates its flagship unit in Ibagué (Clínica Sharón), which serves as a reference and backing for each new unit.

Frequently asked questions

What clinics usually ask

What exactly am I licensing with UNIDOL?

You are not licensing a brand to run on your own. You integrate a UNIDOL unit into your licensed clinic: the Cero Dolor Method, its protocols, its INVIMA-registered products, ongoing methodological governance from Laboratorio del Dolor, and patient flow from the national and international platform.

Do I need a licensed clinic (IPS) to operate a UNIDOL unit?

Yes. The unit operates inside your already-licensed clinic under current Colombian regulation; we provide the method, protocols and products, not the operating license. You keep your facility's accreditation, infrastructure and regulatory compliance.

How long until my team is certified to operate?

Certification is a process, not a single event. Beforehand your team studies the materials and signs the consents, NDA and unit contract. Then one intensive ~8-hour on-site session with a real volunteer patient trains the lead physician, head physiotherapist and pain psychologist. Afterward there is mentoring and evaluation before operating autonomously.

What if there is already a UNIDOL clinic in my city?

It depends on the specialty. Territorial exclusivity protects your clinical specialty: no other clinic in the network will operate the same specialty in your area while your unit is active. Two different specialties can coexist in the same city. The exclusivity is mutual.

Who hires and employs the unit's clinicians?

Your clinic does. You hire and employ the clinical team; Laboratorio del Dolor trains and certifies them in the Cero Dolor Method. You keep employment and operational control of your staff while we ensure they master the method and its protocols.

Who actually brings patients to my UNIDOL unit?

The UNIDOL platform routes patients to your territory by your specialty, and your unit can add joint patient-acquisition at the higher levels. UNIDOL sustains the national brand with its own resources; you do not fund the general brand.

Can I treat international patients from UNIDOL Global?

Yes, if you activate the international-operator level and complete the additional training UNIDOL Global requires. That program concentrates the method into 7 intensive days for medical-tourism patients, versus the 5–7 weeks of the national treatment.

Does a UNIDOL unit compete with my current operation?

No. The UNIDOL unit is a new service line that adds to what you already do, with its own interdisciplinary method, products and positioning. It leverages your existing licensed infrastructure without displacing your current services.

How much does it cost to integrate a UNIDOL unit?

The economic structure is defined in an initial session, based on your clinic's size, your specialty and your territory. It is not a fixed catalog price: it is tailored to your operation and reviewed with you before proceeding, after signing the NDA.

How do I start the process to add my clinic?

With an initial session to get acquainted and check whether your clinic and the network are a fit. From there you sign the NDA and move into the detail of the method, the levels and the economic structure. No pressure, no obligation.

What support do I receive after launch, not just at the start?

Support is continuous, not a one-time opening event. The royalties your clinic pays sustain Laboratorio del Dolor's ongoing methodological governance: protocol updates, clinical supervision, complex-case resolution and team retraining. That continuous governance — not a brand right — is what sets the model apart from a plain license.

Is it worth it for my clinic? What return can I expect?

Return depends on your operation, so it is modeled with you in the initial session; we do not publish generic figures. What you add is a service line with real demand — around 15 million adults with chronic pain in Colombia (ACED, 2022) — exclusivity of your specialty in your territory, and a method with 10 years of documented clinical practice.

Let’s talk

Let’s set up an initial session to get to know each other.

If you think your clinic could be the UNIDOL unit for your region, the first step is simple: a conversation to understand your operation, show you the method in detail and see if it makes sense for both sides. No pressure and no conditions.
